Privacy Policy

How Super Gadget processes personal data: account and code-based sign-in, comments and forum, the contact form to the editorial team, newsletter subscription, analytics and cookies. We collect the minimum amount of information and use it only for the purposes described here.

This edition is current as of 20 August 2026.

This Policy describes what personal data is processed on the website super-gadget.ru, for what purpose, on what legal basis, and how it is protected. The Policy has been prepared in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 "On Personal Data".

2. What data we process

Without registration you can read materials and leave comments. For a guest comment we process only the name you entered in the form and the text of the message.

When you create an account and sign in we additionally process:

  • e-mail address (used as a login and to send the one-time sign-in code);
  • first and last name, provided by you at first sign-in;
  • gender (male / female) — at your choice;
  • profile photo — optional, uploaded by you and removable at any time;
  • your actions in the account: the list of liked articles and comments you have left;
  • technical session data: an anonymised hash of your IP address and browser parameters — to protect sign-in against bots and brute-forcing.

Regardless of whether you have an account, we also process: your e-mail address if you subscribe to the newsletter; your name, e-mail and message text if you write via the contact form; and anonymised data about visits to the site in web analytics services. See sections 7 and 8 for details.

3. Purposes of processing

  • user registration and authentication by one-time code (passwordless sign-in);
  • maintaining your personal account: profile, likes history, editing your data;
  • publishing comments and likes on your behalf;
  • protecting the service against automated registrations, spam and abuse.

4. Legal basis

The basis for processing is your consent, which you give by ticking the relevant checkbox before requesting the sign-in code (clause 1, part 1, article 6 of 152-FZ). Registration and sign-in are impossible without ticking the consent box. Consent may be withdrawn at any time — see section 8.

5. Code-based sign-in instead of a password

We do not store passwords. To sign in, you enter your e-mail address, to which a one-time code is sent (6 digits, with a limited validity period). The code is valid for a few minutes and allows a limited number of entry attempts. This reduces the risk of password compromise and leaks.

After a successful sign-in, a technical session cookie (httpOnly) is stored in your browser, allowing you to avoid entering the code on every visit. It does not contain your personal data in plain form and is deleted when you sign out of the account or when it expires. Disabling cookies in the browser does not prevent you from reading the site, but makes signing in to an account impossible. In addition to the technical session cookie, cookies of web analytics services operate on the site — see section 7.

7. Analytics and visit counters

To understand which materials are useful to readers, we use third-party web analytics services. They store their own cookies in your browser and process anonymised data about your visit: pages, referral source, device type, region by IP.

  • Yandex.Metrica (counter 98882263, Yandex LLC) — cookies _ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad. On-page action recording (Webvisor) is enabled: cursor movement, clicks and scrolling. The contents of form fields are not transmitted in the recording. Yandex Policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 (stream G-VMBED220F8, Google LLC) — cookies _ga, _ga_VMBED220F8. Google Policy.
  • Ahrefs Analytics — anonymised visit statistics without cookies.

You can opt out of analytics using your browser: block third-party cookies, enable "Do Not Track" mode, or install the Yandex.Metrica blocker and the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on. This does not affect the availability of the site's materials.

8. Forms on the site

Contact form to the editorial team (/kontakty/). We process the name, e-mail, subject and message text you provide — solely to read the message and reply. Data from the form is not stored in the site's database: it is sent by e-mail to the editorial mailbox. Submission is only possible after you tick the consent to the processing of personal data.

Newsletter subscription (/novosti/podpiska/ and subscription forms within materials). We process only your e-mail address — to send a daily digest of new materials. The subscription is confirmed by e-mail (double opt-in): without clicking the link in the e-mail, the address is not added to the newsletter. Subscribers' addresses are stored in encrypted form. You can unsubscribe with one click via the link in any issue — consent is deemed withdrawn and the address is deleted.

9. Forum and public materials

Topics, messages and comments you publish are visible to all site visitors, together with the name you provided and, if you have uploaded one, your profile photo. Do not post in public messages information you do not want to make publicly available: phone numbers, addresses, documents. You can delete your posts by writing to the editorial team.

10. Storage and protection

Account data is stored for as long as your account exists. One-time codes and IP hashes are stored briefly and then deleted. We apply reasonable protection measures: connection encryption (HTTPS), storing service identifiers in hashed form, restricting access to the server. No website can guarantee the absolute security of data transmission over the internet.

11. Transfer to third parties

We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for advertising, and we do not build profiles for resale. An e-mail delivery service may be involved to deliver the sign-in code — solely for the purpose of delivering the message.

12. Your rights and withdrawal of consent

You have the right to access your data, correct it in your personal account (except your e-mail address, which serves as a login and cannot be changed), delete your photo or your entire account, and withdraw your consent to processing. Withdrawal of consent entails deletion of the account and associated data. To do this, write to the editorial team: hello@super-gadget.ru — we will consider the request within a reasonable time.

13. Changes to the policy

We may update this document when the operation of the site or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page; the edition date is shown at the top. We try to announce material changes noticeably.
